Latin pop star, Shakira, revealed in a backstage interview after last night’s The Voice Top 5 performance show, that she has NO plans to return to the singing competition after this season concludes next week.
“For now no, I don’t have any plans of coming back,” the singer revealed, “This was always temporary thing for me to do.”
“But you never know,” she said, “I never thought I’d be in a show like this one. But the nature of the show…made me change my mind.”
“Honestly, I’ve had a blast,” she added, “I love the show, I love the people on the show…it’s been real fun.”
“But right now I have to go on with my life as an artist. I’m not really a TV celebrity!” she laughed.
In the fall, singer Gwen Stefani will occupy Shakira’s seat for season 7, before Christina Aguilera returns in the spring for season 8. Who knows what will happen after that…
