Season 6 contestant, Sanjaya Malakar, about to turn 21, and has got a new song and a new look.
He recently debuted a brand new song, a meandering little ditty called “4 A.M” on New Day, a local Seattle morning show. The tune is off his upcoming album Life ~ Music ~ Love, set to come out in November.
Yippee. Sanjaya cut off his hair. And his singing is still so-so. Sanjaya says he’s attempting to integrate world music into his sound. Fellow Indian, Anoop Desai from Season 8 is attempting the same with his current music (I think Anoop has acheived a more current and seamless sound, but I digress).
“4 a.m.” will be available exclusively for download on www.sanjayamalakar.com. A Christmas album and T-shirt line are also coming soon.
