With 73% of reports in, Taylor Swift will have the number one album on the sales and combined charts. It almost looks like other artists avoided the blast zone created by Taylor’s album as there is only one new album in the top 10. Taylor is releasing her album to streaming platforms today, so she may hang on for another week.
In other news, our reality singing competition show artists are climbing the charts. Pentatonix moves into 2nd on the sales and combined chart with their updated “A Pentatonix Christmas”. This looks to be the Christmas album of the year for a second year in a row. But they aren’t done yet. Their “That’s Christmas to Me” is 11th in sales, 19th in combined while their “That’s Christmas to Me + PTXmas Deluxe” is 18th in sales. Lindsey Stirling’s Christmas album (“Warmer in the Winter”) is 9th in sales and 17th in combined.
For non-Christmas albums, we have Niall Horan leading the charge as his “Flicker” moves up to 13th in sales and 20th in combined. Kelly Clarkson’s “Meaning of Life” is 17th/26th. Lauren Alaina appears on Kane Brown’s “Kane Brown” which is 26th/27th while Lauren Jauregui is on Halsey’s “Hopeless Fountain Kingdom” at 37th/29th. Zayn Malik and Liam Payne both have songs on NOW 64 at 6th/13th.
