Folk Rockers Lumineers are set to have their first number one album on the BB200 with about 100K in predicted equivalent album sales. The Lumineers previous high was with their last album that was released in 2012, but did not rise to top 2 until almost a year later. That was thanks to their hit “Ho Hey” that sold 5.1M downloads and spent 18 weeks on top of the Hot Rock Songs chart. That album sold 1.7M copies.
Deftones represent the Alt Metal genre for the number 2 album of the week followed by Country music award show superstar Chris Stapleton. He had the number one sales last week after scooping up a great number of awards. Adele lives in the top 10 and this week her spot is currently number 4. Zakk Wylde (former Ozzy Osbourne band member) is debuting at 5th with twenty one pilots right behind. Rihanna and Justin Bieber don’t just have hit songs, they are 7th and 8th on the album charts. Hamilton for some reason is 9th and Skizzy Mars closes out the top 10.
The reality singing competition alums are all grouped together. The latest Voice champ is 13th, Idol’s Carrie Underwood is 14th and X-Factor’s Zayn is 15th. Even Nashville Star is on the chart with Chris Young at 49th.
