Sales News – Week Ending – 02/25/16

UPDATE: Kelly Clarkson has taken over the top of the iTunes chart pushing aside Rihanna’s massive hit. This is what I’m talking about! Snoopy Dance!

Kelly Clarkson had the first sales success of Idol with her knocking it out of the park with her judging, enthusiasm and mad talent for singing. “Piece by Piece” hasn’t been setting records so far, but last night it soared on the iTunes chart. It probably can’t catch “Work” [YET IT DID!], but it has stomped all over ZAYN’s latest offering (he is doing so well), Flo Rida and Lukas Graham which have been no slouches this week. Go Kelly!

On the album front, Adele’s number one again (I need a macro for that). Yo Gotti (Rap) is the top debut of the week. The Grammys are still being felt with Chris Stapleton, Justin Bieber, The Weeknd and Taylor Swift still selling well. Rihanna is riding the success of her single to stay in the top 6. Compilations are represented by Now 57 and The Grammy CD. Lake Street Drive (Southern Rock) is currently debuting in Top 10.

Daughtry’s Compilation album is 20th, Carrie Underwood’s latest album is 36th and One Direction’s last albums 46th. Carrie also appears on the Grammy CD and Nick is on Now 56 (40th).
