Reality show winners Teyana Taylor and Iman Shumpert are ending their marriage
The winners of two reality competitions are splitting up.
Teyana Taylor who won The Masked Singer as Firefly in 2022 and Iman Shumpert the champ of Dancing with the Stars season 30 in 2021 with pro Daniella Karagach are ending their marriage. ‘
The singer officially broke the news Sunday on Instagram. In a statement she writes. “Not too much on my bestie! In all fairness, Iman and I are separated and have been for a while.” She continued, “To be 1000% clear, ‘infidelity’ ain’t one of the reasons for our departure.”
The two remain on good terms, she says. We are still the best of friends, great business partners and are one hell of a team when it comes to co-parenting our 2 beautiful children. Most importantly we are FAMILY & in the 10yrs together, 7 yrs married we ain’t ever played with or about THAT.”
She continued, jokingly, “We just keep y’all a**** out the group chat lol, which is the reason we’ve been able to successfully & peacefully separate without all of the outside noise.”
“The only reason I’m even sharing THIS part of the chat is because the narratives are getting a little out of hand & it’s unfair to all parties involved. I hope this provided some clarity for y’all.” She ends the statement, “Okay AunTey taking y’all back out the chat bye!”
The two married in 2016 and have two children
Teyana and Iman got married in 2016, and share two children together. Iman is a former NBC basketball player and the first to win Dancing with the Stars. Teyana is a singer, actress dancer and choreographer who worked with Pharrell Williams and Kanye West and co-wrote songs for Usher, Chris Brown, and Omarion. She choreographed for the likes of Beyonce and starred in the movie Coming to America 2. The two starred in VH1 reality show, Teyana and Iman.
