One Direction performed to a horde of screaming girls today (11/17) at the Universal Orlando Resort. Except…they were minus one. Zayn Malik was absent, due to illness.
“He’s got a tummy bug so he’s not very well,” Liam Payne said of Zayn.
“We only found out this morning so we’re really sad, he is as well, that he can’t be here for our album release… It’s still going to be a great day, I’m sure,” Liam explained to host Matt Lauer.
Liam assured the crowd the illness wasn’t serious and shot down rumors of substance abuse.
The X Factor UK alums’ 4th studio direction, aptly titled Four, is out this week. This morning’s Today show appearance kicked off the boys’ whirlwind promo tour which includes an NBC holiday special next month.
