Avalon Young – What’s Real
First up is American Idol 15 alum, Avalon Young. Fresh off of a late April tour opening for Jeff Bernat, Avalon releases her first post-Idol single, “What’s Real.” Arguably the most relevant artist of this year’s finalists in terms of what’s resonating on pop radio these days, there had never quite been anyone like the singer on Idol before. Chris Mann – Constellation
Chris Mann, the adult contemporary stylist from Team Christina Aguilera on The Voice season 2 (and a short stint as a Warbler on Glee) has been crisscrossing the country as The Phantom of the Opera. As if that didn’t keep him busy enough, he started a kickstarter to fund a new album, Constellation, out this week. Kristy Lee Cook – All Kinds of Crazy
Country singer and favorite American Idol superstition, Kristy Lee Cook, has a new EP out titled All Kinds of Crazy. The season 7 alum, who starred in a reality show that alternately showcased her singing AND deer hunting skills (I KNOW!), released the 4 song set via Broken Bow Records. Brandon Rogers – B.Random
This is another catch-up item from the week of the American Idol finale. Brandon Rogers finished season 6 in 12th place, but has been plugging away at a career ever since in Los Angeles. His new alternative pop EP B. Random is also the name of his band. The entire record is available on soundcloud, and I have to say I found it quite catchy (and pretty much up my alley, as I do love the melodic power pop). Check it out right here! Also Download B.
