The Voice 22 alum Morgan Myles releases raucous new single, “Two Words One Finger”

Nashville artist Morgan Myles releases her fun-loving “forget you” of a country rock tune, “Two Words One Finger,” her second single with KZZ Music/Blue Élan Records.

Following her KZZ debut, “Vertigo,” a more traditional country tale, Myles shows off her swagger and energy with this swampy, down-home, rock & roll tune. That defiance and “one finger” are aimed straight at all the doubters and haters who’ve ever tried to tell anyone who or what they can or cannot be.

Knowing who you are and what you’re worth is a big part of Myles’s story and message, and in this one she shows us the fun side of self-confidence and owning all the contradictions and the ups and downs that we all carry. It’s a message to anyone who dares throw stones from their own glass house.

“I’m a believer, I’m a quitter, I’m innocent, I’m a sinner” she lists over each pre-chorus. “I’m a lover, I’m a cheater, I’m a student, I’m a teacher / so if you want to judge me baby, you’re out of luck / guess what, I don’t give a…” With choir vocals joining in as Myles sings her anthem, “I’ve got Two Words, One Finger.”

“I wrote this one during the pandemic,” tells Morgan shares in a press statement, “at a time when the depression energy level was so bad. I just thought we needed some upbeat, fun songs. So, “Two Words One Finger” was just a way to tell all those people to shut it out and move on.”

Morgan finished The Voice 22 in 3rd place on Team Camila Cabello

Morgan became well known after competing on The Voice season 22 in fall 2022 and finishing in 3rd place. But prior to her The Voice stint, the singer spent years on the road opening up for country artists like Luke Bryan, Jake Owen, and Kane Brown, clocking over a hundred shows a year across the United States.

“It took me 17 years to get the Opry. And I’m not ashamed of the fact that it was hard. I’m not afraid to tell the backside of what went into, now, being grateful,” Morgan shares. “Because the truth is, when you see somebody that’s done the work to figure out who she is as an artist, there’s a whole new level of authenticity and respect there. And that’s a huge part of how I connect with an audience.”

“Morgan is country, and she always has been,” says Morgan’s The Voice coach, Camila Cabello, “but she’s always been her own unique, versatile expression of country. People love her because she’s authentic, she’s vulnerable.”

“For me, music is therapy. And I know that when I’m at my best, that’s what I’m doing for audiences, too,” says Morgan. “I’m sharing and connecting and we’re all healing together.”
