More videos! Front row on the side is awesome, but it means you get a view of the Idol’s back while they’re performing on the extended front stage. You’ll see what I mean when you watch Syesha Mercado’s “Listen” video. After the performance, the audience keeps cheering, and Syesha is digging it! At one point–I think while she was singing “I Ain’t Got You”, the steam machine backstage malfunctioned and there was a weird hissing sound during part of her performance. Syesha seemed a little worried about it in her latest blog, but it wasn’t as distracting as she thought. Jason Castro singing “Over the Rainbow” never gets old for me. His voice sounds slightly tired here, but I think it adds to the wistful beauty of the song. And, one from David Cook, “Hello”.
