Monday Morning Mediabase Update: Sep 8-14

Singing show contestants tee up for 6 Mediabase Milestones this week.

Reality shows collide for the first milestone. Miranda Lambert from the first season of Nashville Star duets with Season 4 Idol Winner Carrie Underwood on “Somethin’ Bad”. The single from these two Country super stars goes top 10 in the format.

Another Idol Winner hitting a milestone this week is the last successful Idol Winner. Phillip Phillips is working his second single from his second album and it is charting on HAC and AAA.

Ella Henderson also has an HAC milestone. Last week, she debuted on our charts and she is from the British version of X-Factor. “Ghost” is her first American single and it moved into top 40 on HAC while also debuting on the Top 40 chart (which actually has 50 positions – she’s at 46th this week).

Colton Dixon came in 7th on the 11th Season of Idol. He’s making the most of it as his debut single from his second album continues to climb the CAC charts. “More of You” has gone top 15. Colton’s music resonates more on the Christian HAC charts which Mediabase doesn’t have, but BB does. He was top 2 on their chart last week.

Finally, our newcomer this week is from Season 5 of the Voice. Jacquie Lee’s “Broken Ones” debuts on the HAC chart at the 50th position. She was on Christina’s team and came in second.
