Just two milestones this week on the Monding Morning Mediabase report.
First up is a repeat from last week. Phil Phillips continues to top the AC chart for the second week with his second single “Gone, Gone, Gone”. The song has lost it’s bullet and P!nk is charging, so this might be the final week of that. Or not. AC is fickle and often returns spins to its hits (think warm thoughts!). Interesting note is that Phil’s song is the only reality singing show contestant’s song current on the format. I can’t remember the last time I saw that. The format is very friendly to the genre.
The second milestone is from Idol’s third winner, Fantasia. She is featured on Joe’s song “Love and Sex” and the song moved into the top 30 on UAC this week.
