Just one milestone this week from UK X-Factorer “Ella Henderson”. Ella finished 6th on the 9th season of UKXF (she was on Tulisa’s “Girls” team). “Ghost” is her first single in the US and it went top 20 on HAC this week. It also returned to the top 40 on Pop surging to 34th. The song was written by Ryan Tedder (see, he can still write songs that can get traction on the radio for reality singers when he wants to).
Last week, we didn’t get a rundown of the milestones, so I will note them this week. We had two Idol winners go top 15 on Country last week. Carrie Underwood’s debut single from her upcoming Greatest Hits album led the charge going from 16th to 11th. “Something in the Water” has steadily run up the charts. Taking a slightly more leisurely route is Scotty’s second single from his second album. “Feelin’ it” entered the top 15 at 13th. Still this is moving faster than his first single from the album which is a better trend to have. One Direction from UKXF wen top 40 on HAC with their “Steal My Girl” which is blazing a trail for their soon to be released 4th album “4”.
