The foreign representatives from Idol and X-Factor seem to be racing each other up the charts. Carly Rae Jepsen from Canadian Idol went top 10 on HAC, top 30 on AC and top 50 on Rhythmic with her debut single “Call Me Maybe”. She’s sitting right behind One Direction on the Pop charts. 1D has a flurry of milestones this week as well. They went top 5 on Pop, top 10 on HAC and top 30 on AC with “What Makes You Beautiful”. Meanwhile, their second single, “One Thing” went top 30 on Pop. But that’s not all from the X-Factor UK crowd. Rebecca Fergusen also went top 50 on HAC.
Meanwhile, the American Idols are not silent this week. Daughtry achieves top 30 with “Outta My Head” (seconds single from their third album). Jordin Sparks’ new single featuring Whitney Houston went top 50 on AC.
Finally, we had a very rare siting of an Idol on AAA. Haley’s “Free” went top 50 on that chart. Go Haley!
Scotty McCreery left the charts.
