Monday Morning Mediabase Update: Mar 30-Apr 5

We had no milestones last week, but this week we get seven. Two franchises of Idol, The Voice and X-Factor UK represent.

We start of with three debuts. Canadian Idol, Carly Rae Jepsen debuts in the top 50 on Pop with “I Really Like You”. She would really like this song to be a success since it is the debut single from her third studio album (she didn’t really gain traction until her second album). Jacquie Lee, from Christina’s team on The Voice, debuts on HAC with “Tears Fall”. This is her second single off of her 2014 EP “Broken Ones”. Finally, we have American Idol auditioner Tori Kelly who went for adds last week on HAC. “Nobody Love”, the debut single from a TBA album, is currently top 20 on Pop and now it is top 50 on HAC.

Ella Henderson from the X-Factor UK franchise is still working “Ghost” (which has gone recurrent on Pop and HAC). The debut single went top 15 on AC. One Direction, also from the X-Factor UK franchise, went top 15 on HAC with “Night Changes”. The song is also in the top 20 on Pop and top 30 on AC.

Jordin Sparks, Season 6 American Idol winner, is getting back into the game. Her “Double Tap” is debuting her new ear and has gone top 40 on Rhythmic. It went for adds on Urban last week. Colton Dixon, also from American Idol, goes top 30 on CAC with “Through All of It”. There is a lot of turmoil on that chart this week. Finally, we have Carrie Underwood’s “Little Toy Guns” returning to the top 20.
