Monday Morning Mediabase Update: June 1-7

During the first week of the sixth month, we get six Milestones (and two returns). Let’s count them down two-by-two.

Nick Fradiani keeps racking up the milestones. Our latest American Idol winner is working his coronation single to radio and getting some results. His “Beautiful Life” debuted this week on both the HAC and AC charts. That means that the song is charting on all three mainstream formats. Needless to say, this is the first time he’s charted on either of those two charts.

Also racking up two milestones this week are the girls who came in third during the second Season of the US franchise of X-Factor. They first charted “Worth It” on Rhythmic and this week the songs goes top 20. An even bigger milestone is that the song goes top 10 on Pop. That’s always a sweet one to get and represents 40+M AI this week. This is their first top 10 in the format.

Rounding out our milestones are two more on Pop. Season 8 runner-up Adam Lambert’s debut single from his third studio album has achieved top 30 on Pop. Now he has “Ghost Town” top 30 in two formats a week before the debut of his album. Tori Kelly is an Idol auditioneer and her second single from her debut album went for adds last week and debuted on Pop this week. “Should’ve Been Us” is going to lead the promo for her album release two weeks from now.

Finally, we have two songs returning to their previous milestones. Carrie Underwood’s “Little Toy Guns” returns to the top 5 on Country and Carly Rae Jepsen’s “I Really Like You” returns to the top 30 on Pop.
