Monday Morning Mediabase Update: July 25-31

Jordan Smith, winner of the ninth season, reaches new heights on AC this week with his “Stand in the Light” entering the top 20. This is the debut single from his debut album. Returning to the top 40 in the same format are X-Factor’s One Direction. “Drag Me Down” previously peaked at 29th on AC, but it’s shown some resilience in this format. Plus, the video is filmed at NASA with the guys getting to play with astronaut stuff – so sometimes it is good to be a pop star.

Fifth Harmony achieve top 10 on Rhythmic with their second single from their debut album “7/27” (named after the date they were formed on X-Factor US). “All in My Head (Flex)” is the second song from that album to go top 10 in that format and the song is also top 11 on Pop.

Drake’s “Views” tops the BB200 – again.
