Monday Morning Mediabase Update: Jul 28-Aug 3

Seven milestones on this first Monday of August – representing Idol, X-Factor and AGT.

Danny Gokey, Season 8’s 3rd place finisher gets his first top 5 hit. His “Hope in Front of Me” went top 5 in its home format Christian AC. It has also crossed over to AC. This is the lead off single from his first album in the CAC format.

Also making in roads on CAC is Season 11’s 7th Place finisher. Colton Dixon’s “Hope In Front of Me” is the lead off single from his second album and it is now top 20.

HAC features three milestones. Daughtry, with their lead singer Chris Daughtry who finished 4th in Season 5, has a top 30 song with “Battleships”. It is the second single from their fourth album. Lindsey Sterling from AGT has been having a successful tour and now she has a song on the HAC chart. “Shatter Me” which has topped the BB Classical Cross-over chart for 13 weeks breaks top 50. Alex and Sierra, the last winners of the US franchise of X-Factor, also break into the top 50. Their debut single from their debut album is called “Scarecrow” and it is now 44th on the chart.

Over on Country we have Idol winner Scotty McCreery working his second single from his second album. “Feelin It” is a summertime jam moving into the top 30 to start off August.

Finally, on Pop we have X-Factor’s Fifth Harmony getting top 40 with their “Bo$$”.

Returning top the top 10 on Pop is Cher Lloyd feature on “Really Don’t Care” with Demi Lovato.
