Six milestones this week, all on the Mainstream formats. Two from Idol and Four from X-Factor.
Kelly Clarkson doubles down for milestones this week. “Heartbeat Song” is her debut single for her next album release and it is resonating on radio. The song moved into the top 15 on HAC and top 30 on Pop this week. She debuted on the charts last week and is already top 15 in two formats and top 30 in a third.
Also hitting two milestones this week is Ella Henderson from the UK version of X-Factor. Her album was released two weeks ago and her debut single is climbing the charts at just the right time. “Ghost” went top 10 on HAC and top 30 on AC. It is also top 15 on Pop.
For the single milestones this week, there are two from the X-Factor, both from groups formed on the show. Representing the UK franchise is One Direction whose “night Changes” debuts on the AC chart. On this side of the water, Fifth Harmony’s “Sledgehammer” goes top 40 on HAC.
