Eight milestones this Monday Morning to report.
Niall Horan becomes the second One Directioner to top the Pop charts. He does this with his second single “Slow Hands” from his debut album “Flicker” (out October 20th). He’s likely to be followed by Liam Payne whose “Strip That Down” (featuring Quavo) is firmly ensconced at second on that chart. “Slow Hands” is also currently top 4 on HAC and top 20 on AC. The song also added a new format this week, Rhythmic.
Who was the first One Directioner to hit the top of the Pop chart? Zayn with his debut single “Pillowtalk”. Zayn has his own milestone this week as his lead single for his second album climbs onto the HAC chart. “Dusk Till Dawn”‘s appearance on the chart marks the first time all 5 One Directioners have been on the same airplay chart. Also there are Niall Horan with “Slow Hands”, Liam Payne with “Strip That Down”, Harry Styles with “Two Ghosts” and Louis Tomlinson with “Back To You”.
Speaking of X-Factor Bands, Fifth Harmony is back on the Pop charts. “He Like That” is their second single from their “Fifth Harmony” album released in August.
Kelly Clarkson is our second artist to have two milestones this week. “Love So Soft”, debut single from her upcoming album, just keeps knocking down these milestones each week since its release. This week it goes top 30 on Pop and top 20 on AC.
Also from American Idol is Mandisa. “Bleed the Same” is the third single released from her fifth studio album. This week, it goes top 40 on CAC.
Finally, we have Survivor Chase Rice. His “Three Chords & The Truth” make it onto the Country charts just ahead of his album release on September 29th.
