Monday Morning Mediabase 09/19/2022

Four milestones this week on the Monday Morning Mediabase report.

Wyn Stark from the latest season of America’s Got Talent which just completed achieves top 40 on HAC with “Who Am I”. One might think that the question is almost directed at me, since I’ve missed him on the charts for the past several weeks. Wyn is also top 30 on AC and Urban R&B. As he shared on the show, this song is dedicated to his twin who died. Thanks to reader Amy Beth who pointed out I had missed him as well as Corey Kent on Country (Voice S8) and FLETCHER on Pop (XF US 1 – she dropped off the chart this week).

Country sees two milestones this week. Ingrid Andress from The Singoff enters the top 5 on Country this week with her Sam Hunt collaboration “Wishful Drinking”. The single was released to radio in December of 2021 and is from her album “Good Person”. Gabby Barrett goes top at with “Pick Me Up”. This single is from her debut album “Goldmine”. Gabby was 3rd on the 16th season of Idol.

Two seasons (and on another channel) before Gabby, Jax was also third on American Idol. This week she goes top 20 on HAC with “Victoria’s Secret”. “Victoria’s Secret” started as a viral video Jax wrote to cheer up a girl she babysat.

Morgan Wallen and Harry Styles continue to stay in the top 10 of the BB200. This week, Morgan’s “Dangerous: The Double Album” is 4th (2nd last week) with 50K in equivalent album sales (up 5%). “Harry’s House” from Harry Styles is 7th (5th last week) with a 12% drop in equivalent album sales to 38K.
