Three milestones to close out the month of August

Jax keeps gathering the milestones with her viral hit “Victoria’s Secret”. She originally wrote the song to help a child she babysat and the song took off from there. The song was already a top 30 hit on Pop and is now also a top 30 hit on HAC. Jax is from American Idol.

Harry Styles manages two milestones this week with two different songs. Harry is from X-Factor UK and was once a member of One Direction. He has parked himself in the top 5 of Pop and HAC for a long while with “As it Was”. “Late Night Talking” is top second on Pop, 7th on HAC, 18th on AC and now enters the Rhythmic chart. Meanwhile, “Music From a Sushi Restaurant” enters the top 20 on Pop. So he has songs 2, 3 and 20th on Pop. Harry’s “Harry’s House” is also 5th on the BB200 chart (7th last week) with 45K in equivalent albums (up 4% from last week).

Meanwhile, The Voice’s Morgan Wallen’s “Dangerous: The Double Album” is 4th this week (sixth last week) with 49K in equivalent albums (up 1%). This is its 84th non-consecutive week in the top 10 of the BB200. That ties Adele’s “21” and Bruce Springsteen’s “Born in the U.S.A.” for the second longest an album from a single artist has spent in the top 10 (BB200 first published in 1956). The only album to spend longer was “Peter Paul and Mary’s “Peter, Paul and Marry” which spent 85 weeks in the BB200 top 10 back in 1962-1964. It seems likely that this album will tie that next week. “My Fair Lady” holds the record for albums at 173 weeks (Musical Cast albums “The Sound of Music” (109), “West Side Story” (106), “Sound of Music” (Original Cast) (105), “South Pacific” (90), “Camelot” (87) and “Oklahoma” (87) have also been on the chart longer).
