Monday Morning Mediabase 06/14/2021

Five milestones this week on the Monday Morning Mediabase report.

Two of the milestones this week are on Country radio. Chase Rice’s collaboration with Florida Georgia Line is titled “Drinkin’ Beer Talkin God Amen” (you could have fun putting commas in different places in that title) and it goes top 10 this week. The song was released on November 30th, 2020 and is the debut single from Chase’s album “The Album”. “You Time” is also the lead-off single (for a TBA album). This single anchoring Scotty’s fourth album is top 20 on Country and was released September 23, 2020.

Another country song hit a milestone this week, but not on Country. Gabby Barrett’s second single “The Good Ones” went to the top of Country before crossing over to the mainstream formats. It’s predecessor (“I Hope”) topped the Country, Pop, HAC and AC charts. “The Good Ones” is currently charting on AC and debuted on HAC this week.

Finally, we end with two former One Directioners. Niall Horan’s collaboration with Anne-Marie hits a new milestone each week. This week, “Our Song” ascends to the top 30 on HAC. Zayn goes top 40 with “To Begin Again”, his collaboration with Ingrid Michaelson. This is just its second week on the chart.

Over on the Billboard 200, we see Morgan Wallen’s “Dangerous: The Double Album” climb into 3rd from fourth last week. The album moved 50K equivalent units (-4% from last week).
