Monday Morning Mediabase 05/21/2022

Twelve milestones to celebrate this Monday – and a rundown of the current state of the iTunes top 100 singles.

Harry Styles continues to sweep up the milestones. “As it Was” continues at number one on Pop and this week, it adds a number one on HAC. The single also hits top 30 on AAA and returns to Rhythmic. Harry manages to debut a quartet of singles on Pop: “Boyfriends”, “Daylight”, “Late Night Talking”, and “Music for a Sushi Restaurant”. And that makes seven milestones.

Morgan Wallen continues on his way to another number one hit with “Wasted on You”. This week, the song hits the top 5 on Country radio. His album “Dangerous: The Double Album” sees a 5% gain in sales over the previous week (55K), but moves 4-5 on the BB200.

Also on Country radio and targeting a number one hit is Scotty McCreery. Last week his “Damn Strait” hit the top 10. As many noted in the last report, this appears to be his single has been the fastest moving up the chart so far. Ingrid Andress “Wishful Drinking” with Sam Hunt is taking a little longer, but it hit top 30 in the format this week.

2020 Idol contestant Lauren Spencer-Smith’s “Flower” debuted on the HAC chart this week giving her two songs in that format (“Fingers Crossed” is in the top 20). Last week, the song moved into the top 40 on Pop and this week the song is just 6 spots back from her “Fingers Crossed”.
