Congratulations to Miss Connecticut, Erin Brady, who was crowned Miss USA 2013 last night. A “star studded” panel of judges including Giuliana Rancic, NeNe Leakes and The Voice, correspondent, Christina Milian (!!!) chose the winner. Nick Jonas hosted the 62nd annual Miss USA Competition live for NBC from Planet Hollywood Resort Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Jonas Brothers performed.
Erin Brady is a 25 year-old from East Hampton, Connecticut and is a Financial Accountant for Prudential Retirement in Hartford, Conn. She graduated from Central Connecticut University with a degree in Finance and a minor in Criminal Justice.
Blah blah blah! Let’s get to why I really am posting about the pageant. Miss Utah, Marissa Powell took the stage, to answer a question from Judge NeNe Leakes:
“A recent report shows that in 40 percent of American families with children, women are the primary earners, yet they continue to earn less than men. What does this say about society?”
The answer she gave was totally rambly and nonsensical. And of course, it’s going viral. Poor girl. Well, at least she won $1000 for being “Most Photogenic.”
