Miley Cyrus was back to cause more controversy at the iHeartRadio music festival in Las Vegas yesterday (9/22)
Dressed in a white mesh top with barely more than a thong and pasties underneath, the singer ditched the racial overtones of her MTV Music Awards performance of “We Can’t Stop”, opting instead for bright candy colored mushrooms and dancing little people.
A better performance than the VMA’s, I still can’t shake the image of Miley as a super-try-hard suburban girl
She follows it up with “Look What They’ve Done to My Song, Ma” by Melanie–a tune only the parents of her fans would know. Goatie vibratos for the win! Actually, I kind of liked this. If Miley works on her craft and artistic vision, she could turn into an interesting songstress.
Miley introduced “Wrecking Ball” as her first #1 Billboard hit (thank you streaming naked video). She pours on the emotion, but lacks the vocal chops to pull off a big power ballad.
Earlier in the day, she performed “Wrecking Ball” at the iHeartRadio village and broke down in tears. Recently, she and actor Liam Hemsworth broke off their engagement. So there’s that. And a tidbit for Glee fans: Darren Criss introduced her.
