Melinda Doolittle, Rayvon Owen with Postmodern Jukebox - Queen's Don't Stop Me Now Tina Turner Style

After their “Toxic” triumph, Melinda Doolittle teams up once again with retro-groovers Postmodern Jukebox for another fabulous cover.

This time, the American Idol season 6 singer and PMJ pay tribute to a Queen favorite, “Don’t Stop Me Now.” The twist? Melinda and company perform the classic tune Tina Turner style.

This new version, according to the PMJ website, takes inspiration from “Proud Mary” and other horn-driven classics from the Soul Era.

BONUS: Yes that’s American Idol 14 singer Rayvon Owen on background vocals along with Briana Lee.

Melinda Doolittle joined the Postmodern Jukebox cast earlier this week, including American Idol 10 alums Casey Abrams and Haley Reinhart, for a special appearance in Nashville.

Postmodern Jukebox is currently touring the United States. Check out the band’s tour schedule HERE. And download Melinda Doolittle’s version of “Don’t Stop Me Now” HERE.
