A little Matt news for ya:

Matt Giraud and Anna Wilson will debut their upcoming single “You Don’t Know Me” at Matt’s next concert, January 29, in Grand Rapids.

The song will go on sale on iTunes shortly afterward. “You Don’t Know Me”  will be the lead single for Anna’s Countrypolitan Duets album.

Matt is currently in Nashville again writing with JT Harding, Jerry Flowers and Marcus Hummon. He just tweeted, “It’s very early but I’m at the Sony music studio. This place is AMAZING. wow. Laying down my new song called “If I say Hallelujah””

  1. Dueling keyboards don’t look as dramatic as dueling grand pianos, but the sounded good.

  2. Yay! Scott and Matt together again. Can’t wait to hear Matt’s new single next week.

  3. Yay for Matty G news. He keeps writing andrecording in Nashville with all these great songwriters.. BUt.. He is still NOT signed?
Geez when is Matty G going to get signed. It’s like waaaay overdue.
I really hope something happens for him in 2010… He deserves it so much.

  4. I already knew about this news but just thought I’d express my excitement for a Matt G studio single! Can’t wait!

Also there will be a cellcast for Matt’s Jan 29th show thanks to Jessica all the way in Canada! Will post details via @mgiraudfans on twitter.

  5. Aw, that was fun – even with the random frolicking people jumping in on camera now and then, lol.

Love it – can’t wait to spend even *more* money when Matt has music for me to buy. Heh.

  6. That was cool. Wish sound was better, but I’ll take what I can get.

Very funny the people getting their pictures taken ‘with’ them. lol

I’ll look forward to hearing Matt’s new stuff and the duet.

  7. I just finally watched this all the way to the end, and I don’t recall Scott ever getting so into a performance like that. He was clearly having a lot of fun. It probably inspires him that they have to stand up the whole time.

Another random thought is that I find it curious that Matt is recording in the Sony studio. Wouldn’t that cost a lot?

  8. Aww Love this song every time I hear it.

Yay for Matt & his band. I can’t wait to hear his originals w/ the band backing him.

Nice observation, csprof. I was thinking the same thing. Hope something awesome is happening. :)

  9. Yes.. Matt in concert should be so much fun! I would love to go to his solo concert on Jan 29th but I just can’t go.

I applaud Matt for working his butt off after the tour ended. Even is he is not signed right now I bet he will be soon. All the effort will pay off.

Recording in the Sony studio seems pricey and suspicious to me too so who knows? Maybe he just has some good friends over there, or maybe just maybe ,something is finally happenng for him recordlabel/deal wise. Here’s hoping. Matt has so much potential. JMHO.
