“When I was here two months ago, I don’t even know how many people knew I liked to sing,” she told the Times Union.

The northeast was literally pounded by a Nor’easter yesterday! It was pouring rain during Madison’s concert. She sang Alicia Keys’ “Fallin,” “How Far I’ll Go” from Moana, Kelly Clarkson’s “Already Gone,” Janis Joplin’s “Piece of My Heart,” and Dan + Shay’s “Speechless.”

“This is incredible … this is crazy. I’m hyperventilating right now,” Madison said to the crowd. “If you’re thinking about going for something as crazy as ‘American Idol,’ do it. I auditioned in a bus stop in Buffalo and now I’m here in the top three and it’s been a dream come true.” She mentions that Katy Perry is the judge she relates to most.

  1. Madison certainly had some gestunken weather for her Homecoming! Still, a memorable day for the high school junior to have…?

  2. Memorable fun. Madison is young and bubbly. Like the other 2, she likely has a future in the music industry and can benefit from more practice and growth. She has the most promise in terms of potential vocal talent.

  3. Someone from New York reaching the finals in Idol. Now that’s something you don’t see very often ?

  4. Well, there was Alex Preston from New Hampshire, I think, who finished 3rd in Season 13? I guess that’s not a final, though. Nick Fradiani from Connecticut, who won Season 14? That’s New England, though, not the mid-Atlantic region. I give up!
