Brian May talks Queen’s revival: ‘We would never be doing this now if it weren’t for Adam Lambert’ – “It was a nice time, because both of those boys were great, but there was something about Adam,” May tells Yahoo Entertainment while promoting his retrospective photo book, Queen in 3-D, which has an entire chapter, “Madame Lambert,” devoted to Adam. “This chemistry was instant, and it was like we were already kind of in a band with him. It’s quite strange. [He didn’t join Queen] for a little while afterwards, because [he] couldn’t. He was under contract to the American Idol people. But when we had the opportunity to work with him, we did three songs in Ireland for an awards show [the 2011 MTV Europe Awards]. She was speaking about the creation of Julian D. King Gift Foundation, named for a nephew slain in a domestic violence tragedy in 2008 that also left Hudson’s mother and brother dead. “I started it in the basement of my church, all because I wanted my sister to look forward to her son’s birthday again. We provide all the kids in Chicago with what they need to go back to school. I was in my car, and I was quiet, and I just started singing, and the chorus came out immediately. Then, I took it to my friends, who helped me finish it. In the two months since, they have been joyfully getting settled into their new house in Raleigh, North Carolina, where Gabi works as a registered nurse. Before the wedding, McCreery also kept his primary address there, though he owns a home in Nashville. “We weren’t quite ready to uproot yet,” he says about the prospect of living where his career is based. “I love the fact that we didn’t live together before,” he says. “It’s not like we just got married and then went back to our home. ‘The Voice’: Knoxville winner Chris Blue talks his career, what’s to come in 2019 – Knoxville’s Chris Blue wouldn’t trade his journey after winning NBC’s “The Voice” for anything, but he said it didn’t go the way he expected. Winning a singing competition show doesn’t guarantee superstardom, according to Blue, and he had to learn that. “It’s not an overnight thing … I realized that a lot of load in the end is on me, and that was something I wasn’t ready for. After winning ‘The Voice,’ I needed a team of people to do everything for me, and I wanted that,” Blue said. “Now, I want to make sure I’m involved in everything, and it’s taken time for me to get there, but now I’m here, and it’s beautiful. Katharine McPhee & David Foster Wedding Crashers – Katharine McPhee and David Foster were so impressed with a wedding they witnessed from their hotel balcony … they went down and joined the celebration. The bride, Whitney Madian, says she and her husband, Shant, got married at the Oak Bay Beach Hotel in Victoria, Canada Saturday, where Katharine and David were also staying.
