Leslie Jordan Autopsy Shows He Died From a Cardiac Incident

CR: Michael Becker / FOX.

Leslie Jordan was not killed as the result of a car accident, instead, he suffered a “sudden cardiac dysfunction” which resulted in his death and caused him to crash.

The L.A. County Coroner’s Office just released its findings from the October 24 incident. First responders raced to the scene after the 67 year old had crashed his BMW into the side of a building in Hollywood.

The coroner’s report states that the actor and The Masked Singer alum was taking heart medication and had complained of shortness of breath in the weeks leading up to his death. He had an appointment with a heart doctor scheduled in the near future.

Jordan suffered from heart disease

An autopsy of Leslie’s body revealed moderate to severe atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease with approximately 80% stenosis of the left anterior descending artery, 50% stenosis of the left circumflex artery, and 20% stenosis of the right coronary artery.

A toxicology report was negative for both alcohol and drugs. The manner of Jordan’s death has been classified as natural.

The report noted that the presence of more than 70% occlusion of any coronary artery greatly increases the risk of a sudden cardiac event.

Dolly Parton paid tribute to Jordan on Call Me Kat

At the time of his death, Leslie was filming an episode of the FOX sitcom, Call Me Kat. The show went on hiatus, returning with a Jan 5 farewell episode featuring Dolly Parton singing a few lines from “Where the Soul Never Dies.” The two recorded the song together for Leslie’s 2021 album, Company’s Coming.

“You left a lot of people here with a lot of precious, precious memories. Everybody loved you, but I doubt many of them loved you more than I did,” said Dolly

On The Masked Singer, Jordan had been a regular guest panelist, appearing on season 7 last spring. At the time of his death, a season 8 episode, with a “Hall of Fame’ theme had not yet aired. He also had a Lego Masters episode with host Joel McHale in the can.
