Glee star, Lea Michele, did the New York City media tour last week, promoting her new book Brunette Ambition and “On My Way,” the second single from her debut album Louder.
In an interview with Chelsea Handler, Lea talked about meeting with a Hollywood manager at the tender age of 13, and being told, “‘As soon as you turn 15, it’s time for a nose job.'”
Needless to say, Lea didn’t get it done. “Wherever she is, she can go f— herself,” said Lea. Indeed. Lea was too polite to actually say the F word, so Chelsea did it for her.
She also tells a story the press has been overblowing–about drinking wine at a young age with her Italian family at the dinner table. IT’S A CULTURAL THING PEOPLE. REALLY NOT A BIG DEAL. But the media can’t resist a sensational headline: LEA MICHELE CHILDHOOD BOOZER.
Ah ha ha. Lea spends the first minute of this interview with 107 Fresh talking about American Idol winner, Phillip Phillips. I kid you not. “It’s so funny!” said Lea, “A lot of people are promoting stuff this week. We just keep missing each other! He’s been following me around! Phil Phillips! What’s going on? You’re following me everywhere!”
When she met him, she teased him, “I asked him to sing a song on my album, and he said he was too busy. Hopefully maybe at one of these things, we’ll finally bump into each other and I can ask him…” Oh man. I would have KILLED FOR A PHOTO! Can you imagine a Lea Michele Phillip Phillips duet! It would be like entering an alternative universe.
But that’s not really why I’m posting this video. Lea has the scoop on season 6 of Glee. She reveals to the hosts, “The past two seasons, 4 and 5 were shot partially in New York for all of our exteriors. However, next season will not be in New York anymore.”
Where exactly Glee will be when it returns for its sixth and final season in 2015, has not been confirmed. However, Season 5 ended with Lea headed to Los Angeles to film a pilot. LA is a strong possibility. And, with season 6 being the show’s last, I would bet on the show ending in Lima, OH, where it all began.
