LOL. Wut? Lazaro Arbos tweeted this little gem Saturday afternoon. I could be wrong, but I have a feeling he could be referring to the negative review he got from TV Line’s Idol guru, Michael Slezak. Michael attended the American Idol Live concert in Newark, NJ earlier this week, and had generally good things to say about everyone, except Laz.

The “WHO ARE YOU” card Lazaro pulls is similar to when Amber Holcomb took umbrage at some mild criticism Michael tweeted regarding an outfit she wore during the competition. A year from now, we bloggers will be merrily doing our thing. Esteemed reporters like Michael will continue to be known and respected in the community. Lazaro, on the other hand, will be an Idol footnote soon, and the aftertaste, considering the reputation he developed as a slacker who couldn’t bother to learn his words or his choreography, will not be pleasant.
Idolettes! You need some thicker skin if you’re going to make it in this tough business. Consider criticism an opportunity to improve your craft. Oh, and I also HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU READ THIS. The Idol in question was way more popular at the height of his season’s popularity than you are now, and likely ever will be–so take heed.
As an aside, maybe Lazaro is smarter than all of us. Maybe he’s trying to get US to talk about HIM. God knows he could use the publicity.
