Life on the road as the opening act for Sugarland is a dream come true for Lauren Alaina. But big opportunities don’t come without sacrifice. The American Idol runner-up missed her own prom to perform a concert in Kentucky Saturday night.
But don’t feel bad for Lauren. She had her own prom right on stage. She invited a young man named Ryan to dance with her while she sang Lady Antebellum’s “Dancing Away With My Heart”.
The concert wasn’t the end of prom night for Lauren. Later she tweeted, “I crashed a prom tonight after my set. So glad I still got to go to prom haha (:”
