I’ve posted a million live versions of Phillip Phillips performing his current single, “Raging Fire,” but this new one, from the PBS special A Capitol 4th, is worth watching just for the adorable intro from Tom Bergeron with the help of Kermit the Frog!
It was quite the intro the American Idol season 11 received, with Tom and Kermie mentioning that his “true modern classic,” the smash hit “Home” sold more than 5 million copies, as the orchestra played and chorus hummed the song in the background.
Phillip’s 2012 appearance on A Capitol 4th was his first after he won the Idol crown. (Remember, he spent the month of June recovering from surgery).
