Kelly Clarkson to Mentor With Blake Shelton on The Voice!

Kelly Clarkson is set to help her pal, Blake Shelton, provide guidance to singers on the new season of The Voice, reports The New York Post.

No wonder Kelly Clarkson has been gushing about the NBC reality competition show lately! The Season 1 Idol winner told Access Hollywood that she loves the show and would love to play Christina Aguilera in a Voice parody during her guest stint on Saturday Night Live this weekend.

Earlier today Kelly tweeted that she thought Blake–and the rest of The Voice cast–would make a great SNL hosts!  It all makes so much sense now!

Kelly will appear on The Voice in late March or April.

“The thing I love about ‘The Voice’ is that they’re more mentors — they’re not judges,” Kelly  said in an interview last September. “I would never really want to be a judge, just because I don’t want to break people’s hearts.

As it turns out, Kelly and Blake are both managed by Starstruck Entertainment, which is run by Reba McEntire’s husband, Narvel Blackstock.

On News Years Eve, Kelly partied with both Blake and fellow Voice coach, Adam Levine in Oklahoma.  “Having the time of my life in Oklahoma with great friends!! Happy New Years Eve everybody!!” tweeted Kelly, “2012 is gonna be a great year!”
We should have known something was up!
