American Idol OG winner Kelly Clarkson has a ton of jobs, including serving as a coach on The Voice and hosting her afternoon talker, The Kelly Clarkson Show for NBC/Universal. But first and foremost Kelly is a singer. She’s been so busy with her other jobs, that it’s been awhile since she released new music. But now, the wait is over! Kelly announced on social media that her brand new song, “I Dare You,” is now available for pre-save and will drop on April 16. Hooray!
Kelly signed a new record deal with Atlantic Records in 2016, and released her first album on the label, Meaning of Life, in October, 2017. Over the last several months, the singer has hinted at spending time in the recording studio, tracking new music. Finally, fans will see the fruits of her labor.
Unfortunately, fallout from the devestating coronavirus pandemic has brought much of the country to a halt, and the music business has been hit hard. Kelly was set to kick off her first Las Vegas residency in April. It’s now been pushed back to the fall. Having new music from the singer is a sweet bit of consolation in the midst of uncertain and scary times.
