  1. Kelly Clarkson has a great voice, but she seriously needs to hit the gym.

  2. Didn’t she say recently that she wants to do more bluesy music, but “the suits” won’t let her? I hope that whenever she’s done with her current contract she does end up making a blues CD, that would sound incredible.

  3. AMAZING vocals as always. “I’ll be home for christmas” was out of this world.
Also, this video of the Rock with you duet is priceless, Eric H. strips down to an orange KC shirt, them some guy comes on stage and starts dancing and Kelly joins him lol, it’s hilarious

Kelly looks really happy in all the videos.

I can’t even begin to imagine what kind of a contract she has where she isn’t allowed, as an Artist, to perform and record the kind of music she wants. I would think that after 7 years, multiple hit records and industry awards that she has enough money to control her own choices.

Do the “record executives” (aside from the old retired guy, what’s his name) really have that kind “control”. Can’t she just put some of her own money behind the music?

  5. ^Remember she didn’t negotiate her contract with RCA, she has a contract because she won AI, it wasn’t negotiated. Whoever was the winner was going to have that contract. And she was the first, they had no idea what was going to happen with her or AI. I guess it’s not a pretty contract since she’s talked about that more than a few times on tour.

  6. “never loved a woman either, so dont spread that” LOL

    love her. always impressive.

  7. The best singer in AI history. Period. She can interpret and sing anything. With fire and restraint, alike. Brilliant.

Never thought that through…but you are probably very right! American Idol was advertised and marketed as finding the next American POP STAR. And Clive Davis really pushed that onto Kelly.

Wonder if that is why Rueben and Fantasia haven’t had the “success” that has come Kelly’s way since they never fit into the Pop box and AI and Clive wasn’t prepared to “work” with them inside their better genre of R&B.

Carrie was lucky and got to go the Country route which broke Clive’s hold on the franchise. I’m going to have to look back and see when the term “PoP” got dumped from all the Idol stuff.

  9. The american/Canadian part of the tour is over? damn it I knew I should of bugged my mom harder for tickets earlier :( ah well she’s amazing and she’ll probably get to play in bigger arena’s worlwide since she’s got a huge world fanbase :) still I wish I could of seen I would be good/use somebody live, no matter how many times I listen to her sing that I still get chills.

But she must have negotiated a renewal since then. If she wanted more control, she could get it.

  11. At first the contract was for 5 albums, but I guess something changed recently because at a show (during this tour) she said she had 2 albums left with the label, so that would make it 6 now. And I don’t think she’s negotiating a renewal, she talked about it like she can’t wait to finish her current contract.

  12. Kelly will always be the best idol. She’s amazing live.

    She is….. awesome…. killer… perfect…
