Kellie Pickler’s “Pickler & Ben” Talk Show Cancelled After 2 Seasons

Sad news for American Idol season 5 alum Kellie Pickler. After two seasons taping in Nashville, The E.W. Scripps Company announced it’s cancelling its syndicated daytime talk show Pickler & Ben, reports the Tennessean.

Co-hosted by Kellie and Ben Aaron, the show premiered in September 2017.

“We were really disappointed to have to announce that we were going to be sunsetting Pickler & Ben after season two,” Scripps’ Brian Lawlor, president of local media, said on a call about the company’s fourth quarter results. “We loved the show. Audiences loved the show.”

The “path to long-term profitability for the show that airs in 176 markets is limited,” according to the company. The show is filmed in front of a live studio audience at an “expansive, modern farmhouse-styled set in Nashville.” It airs across the country on local stations and also CMT.

Producers include country star Faith Hill. The show will continue to air until September. Kellie will be kept busy this summer as she tapes a wedding themed sequel to her popular Hallmark holiday movie,  Christmas at Graceland.
