Kellie Pickler is selling the house where her husband Kyle Jacobs died by suicide

Kellie Pickler is selling the Tennessee home where her husband, Kyly Jacobs, fatally shot himself.

According to TMZ, the house is now on the market for $2,890,000. According to property records, the 4 bed, 5 bath custom-built home in Nashville was listed Wednesday (Nov 29).

The Tudor-style abode is 4,865 sq. feet and includes an open floor plan, a barrel vault ceiling in the dining room and wine cellar on the main level. Architecturally, it features 10×10 cedar posts throughout the home and a two story fireplace. Additionally, there is a pool set in the backyard and millwork throughout the property.

The singer purchased the house in February 2010 for $1,435,000.

The listing comes nearly 10 months after Kellie’s husband was found dead by suicide in the upstairs bedroom/office at the home. Tennessee law does NOT require a seller to disclose a death in a house to potential buyers. But with the house in the news, buyers are bound to find out, it seems.

Jacobs died of a gunshot wound according to autopsy records

According to autopsy records from an analysis the Davidson County Medical Examiner performed on Feb. 18, Jacobs died by an “intraoral shotgun wound.”

His toxicology results revealed no drugs in his system at the time of his death.

“Adult white male with a history of pseudoseizures, gastrointestinal bleeding, elevated liver enzymes, and chronic alcohol use suffered a self-inflicted shotgun wound,” the autopsy stated.

Jacobs shot himself in an upstairs bedroom/office inside the couple’s house. Law enforcement said that Kellie was asleep, but woke a short time before the incident, when she did not see Kyle, she began looking for him. When she and an assistant were unable to open the upstairs bedroom door, they called 911. This, according to a report from TMZ.

“The darkest time of my life”

Kellie shared a statement with People magazine in which she thanked fans for their support.

“One of the most beautiful lessons my husband taught me was in a moment of a crisis, if you don’t know what to do, ‘do nothing, just be still,'” she said. “I have chosen to heed his advice.”

“Thank you to my family, friends, and supporters, for the countless letters, calls, and messages that you have sent my way,” the country singer continued. “It has truly touched my soul and it’s helping me get through the darkest time in my life. As many of you have told me, you are all in my prayers.”

Kellie competed on American Idol and Dancing with the Stars

Kellie competed on American Idol season 5 in 2006, finishing the show in 6th place. The country singer also competed and won Dancing with the Stars with pro partner Derek Hough in 2013. She co-hosted an afternoon talk show, Pickler & Ben, for two seasons, and has starred in Hallmark movies Christmas at Graceland and The Mistletoe Secret. She recently hosted an afternoon talk show for SiriusXM.

Kellie and Kyle got married back in 2011, and both starred on the I Love Kellie Pickler reality show for 3 seasons starting in 2015. Kyle worked as a country music songwriter, penning tunes for artists such as Tim McGraw, Kelly Clarkson, Darius Rucker, Garth Brooks and more.
