  1. All sorts of great things happening for Idol Alumni. The Brand still has some bite.

  2. Shenandoah was such a good musical. Can’t wait to hear Taylors take on those songs. Always something new with him.

  3. Another QR album review today from a Spanish metal site.

QUIET RIOT: ONE NIGHT IN MILAN // FRONTIERS MUSIC
“I am today with a revival material that is released on CD and DVD, I refer to Quiet Riot’s “One night in Milan” recently released and that is coming to reclaim its place in the world hard rock.

Frankie Banalli refuses to throw the inherited crate by his colleagues from the 80’s and that’s how restoring the band, has been working since 2017 with the lineup composed by Alex Grossi on guitar, James Durbin (born of an American Idol) in the voice, Chuck Wright on bass, who has already been in the band intermittently and of course Frankie Banalli on drums.

The album starts with two classics from his 83 multi platinum album, Metal Health. “Run for cover” and “Slick Black Cadillac” and from the first notes we found the sound of the band, hard rock without concessions and with great power. Both cuts sound fresh despite being written more than 30 years ago…
…”Love’sa bitch” from Metal Health shows us that Durbin’s voice is in excellent shape, the introduction is sung impeccably…
…The closing is given with pure hit “Wild & the Young”, “Let’s get crazy”, “Cum on feel the noize” and “Metal head” all executed with great strength and mastery highlighting the voice of James Durbin and the Fiery guitar by Alex Grossi. In short, an album of many memories and although this alignment is not the classic one, it manages to get ahead of this great challenge that is to fill the shoes of Sarzo, Rhoads and Dubrow.

Let’s hope another album of unpublished pieces to see the evolution of the band”.

  4. Good for Kellie P.

I don’t like those Hallmark movies (200 versions of the same simple story). However, I watched Kellie’s based on recommendations here last year (from PA Woman maybe?) and because of Graceland. Well, it wasn’t awful. : ) Except I think she sang Silent Night three times during the movie.

    The sequel should be cute.

  5. innocent until proven guilty but that’s a lot of testimony adding up
    very disturbing, indeed.
