Alyssa, a Lake Nona High School student recently advanced to the Top 24 on the New Season of American Idol. Lake Nona Residents came out in a show of support of Alyssa as she continues her road to fame. “Doin’ Fine”: The heartwarming reason Lauren Alaina is behind on the new season of “American Idol” – Even though she barely missed winning season 10 of American Idol — thanks to her pal Scotty McCreery — Lauren Alaina admits she’s a little behind when it comes to the new version of the show on ABC. “I don’t have cable,” she explains, “so I just watch the clips online at this point. And my mom DVRs it, so every time I go home, we watch it together.
