Jordan Smith’s Debut Album to Earn Best The Voice Sales

The Voice 8 winner Jordan Smith is on track for the highest grossing debut album of any The Voice winner.

Initially, Hits Daily Double predicted Jordan’s debut set, Something Beautiful, would debut in the 33-38,000 range US sales during the the March 18-24 tracking week. However, that number has been elevated to 46-51,000 pure US copies.

If the singer lands in that range the numbers would put him ahead of the current The Voice album debut champ, season 3 winner, Cassadee Pope, who moved 43,000 copies of her debut Frame by Frame in its first week back in fall 2013.  For comparison, The Voice season 4 winner, Season 4 winner, Danielle Bradbery sold 41,000 copies of her self-titled debut in November 2013,  The Voice season 3 alum and rising star, Melanie Martinez, sold 41,000 units (including streams) of her debut album, Cry Baby on Atlantic records in August 2015.

Jordan, who also sold the most tracks during his bid to win The Voice than any other competitor, over 1.2 million, has been out promoting his album on entertainment shows and websites, and most notably on the NBC Today show this week. The Universal Records release was also promoted during the FOX Easter special broadcast Sunday night, The Passion Live.

The album should chart in the Top 5 on the Billboard 200, which accounts for album sales, TEA (track sales/10) and SEA (track streams).
