Jillian Jensen “Stages” Album Teaser (VIDEO)

Jillian Jensen experienced the disappointment of coming close to making live shows on not one but TWO singing competitions. First, on the second season of X Factor, she was cut by judge, Demi Lovato, in a very emotional scene at the judges houses. A few years later, the singer made the Top 30 of American Idol 13, only to be one of ten singers denied the opportunity to perform live on television for America’s votes.

The Rhode Island native hasn’t allowed those setbacks keep her down. In April, she announced a Kickstarter campaign to fund her debut album. On June 10, the project was fully funded, with over 8K to spare. The singer has wasted no time. On September 15, the album, Stages, will be available on iTunes!

To celebrate the release of her new album Jillian will be holding an album release/birthday bash at Simon’s 677 in Providence on September 19. Many special guests will be appearing, including American Idol season 13 finalist, Alex Preston. If one good thing came out of her experience on Idol is that she met Alex and the two are currently an item!

Check out the YouTube teaser below. A few of the songs have a country flavor, and Christian contemporary overtones. The singer wrote many of the songs solo. American Idol contestant, Brielle Von Hugel sang backing vocals on several tracks.
