Check out some new music from American Idol judge Jennifer Lopez. First, Jlo drops her new music video for “I Ain’t Your Mama,” in which the dancer/singer represents different women across the decades: the 50’s house, the 60s secretary, a 70’s Norma Rae-like factory girl, a “working girl” from the 80’s to make a point about how women aren’t going to put up with being taken advantage of by boyfriends, husbands and bosses.

It all winds up with the present day Jennifer dancing in the streets, as the women she plays rebel.

Next, everybody is crossing over to country these days, even Jennifer Lopez. The American Idol judge and singer/actress teamed up with Jennifer Nettles to release “My House.”

The song tells the story of two women from different cultures are friends nevertheless. “My house is your house..Mi casa is tu casa…” Twangy guitars are backed by a Latino flavored horn section. “I’m Jenny from the dirt road, I’m Jenny from the block” the duo sing. “We’re really not that different.” Lyrically, it’s an updated version of Paul McCartney and Michael Jackson’s “Ebony and Ivory.”
