American Idol season 3 alum Jennifer Hudson returns with her brand new single “Burden Down,” as well as a powerful music video, directed by Sam Lecca. “Burden Down,” her most powerful and personal work to date, serves as the first single from her anxiously awaited fourth full-length album due out next year.
The release caps off a busy year for the singer/actress that included a turn on The Color Purple (New Broadway Cast Recording) Album, she earned a GRAMMY® in the category of Best Musical Theater Album and a Daytime Emmy® for “Outstanding Musical Performance in a Daytime Program.” Plus, she coached both the UK and US versions of The Voice this year. As a coach on the UK The Voice, Jennifer mentored the winning singer, Mo Adeniran.
