Jennifer Hudson’s performance of the “One Shining Moment”, the song that plays each year at the end of the CBS broadcast of the NCAA men’s basketball championship game, is now available on iTunes.
Jennifer is the first woman to perform the song. Teddy Pendergrass and Luther Vandoss recorded previous versions.
The new version is produced by Harvey Mason Jr. who played for the Arizona team that reached the 1988 Final Four. The NCAA championship airs on CBS April 5.
Written by folk singer David Barrett, the song has been a tradition of March Madness since 1987, played over highlights of the tournament.
