Jennifer Hudson could join The Voice UK 2017 on ITV, it has been reported this evening.
And she’s set to coach alongside Kylie Minogue, Sir Tom Jones and Will.i.am in a big shake up to the panel, according to rumours.
Kylie and Sir Tom were both of course judges the show in the past, while Will is the only member of the line up to have appeared on every series so far.
The Daily Mirror reports that talks are still ongoing, with producers “particularly keen” to keep Will.i.am on.
“They’ve pushed the boat out to get Will to stay and are very much hoping he’ll say yes,” a source told the Daily Mail. “He loves the show and he’s actually a bigger star here than he is in the US.”
The source added: “Jennifer is huge in America, where she’s won an Oscar and an Emmy [sic]. The offer has gone out and everyone’s very excited at the thought of getting her.”
Sir Tom meanwhile lashed out at producers over how his exit was handled after he was unceremoniously dumped by the BBC last year after four seasons. Sources claim that getting Tom back in the mix would help facilitate Will’s return.
“Will would love to have Tom back,” said the source.
The Voice UK will air on ITV in 2017, although filming will begin later this year. Last season’s panel included Will.i.am, Boy George, Paloma Faith and Ricky Wilson.
