Jennifer Hudson Celebrates Music From the Civil Rights Movement – VIDEO

On February 9th, the President and First Lady kicked off the 2010 White House music series, In Performance at the White House: A Celebration of Music from the Civil Rights Movement concert, featuring Jennifer Hudson, Smokey Robinson, Natalie Cole and others performing music from the era.

The concert aired on PBS stations tonight. After the jump, watch Jennifer perform “People Get Ready” with Smokey Robinson, and a little later, she performs a soulful version of Donny Hathaway’s “Someday We’ll All Be Free.”
