  1. OH – I was just going to ask you about this, was just talking about this beautiful person. Going to get it now – thru here

  2. I’ve never been a Jason fan…. at all. I heard extended clips at Hit Predictor and loved the songs I heard. I will be downloading his EP. There are a few past idols that should have gone this route instead of the standard pop route.

  3. Now he’s #9

  4. amazing amazing amazing…he made one of the most beautiful albums ever

  5. I am simply amazed by how much I loved this EP. ‘You can always come home’ is just so beautiful. Love the acoustic version of the single too. Soooo happy with this EP. Definitely worth the wait AND definitely worth the $5….I mean $4.95.

  6. It’s been a long wait……but it’s absolutely worth it! This was done right. Beautiful.

  7. I recently found out a song by Serena that I liked. I knew I had heard her name before and couldn’t remember from where… but now I remember. The duet with Jason. Ahhh. Sort of reminds me of Anouk.
It’s probably my favorite one from the EP.
The acoustic version of his single is better than the original.

Now, why wasn’t Sweet Medicine burried? That song doesn’t have one good thing about it, it lacks a melody most of all.

  8. Is this only available for d/l? I would buy a hard copy but can’t download at this point.

  9. Only digitally at this point. No idea if they will be selling hard copies. Maybe at his shows?

gingerly – I just received an email from Jason’s NJ/Philly Street team that says physical copies of his EP will be sold on the tour w/Matt Hines. Here is a link to the list of his tour dates.

  11. Oh wow, this is such good stuff! What a great day: Idol comes back and Jason releases some excellent music! I cannot wait for the whole CD even more now, haha. :)

  12. Yay for Jason! It’s a beautiful EP. The upcoming cd will have entirely different songs on it too. Buy it now!

  13. Yay for Jason. Since it’s an EP, would it still count as a #1 album if it somehow gets to the top of the iTunes chart? Obviously it helps that it’s only $4.95. But it’s still good news for him.

Since the hardcopy of the EP isn’t readily available, it’s going to be hard for him to top the album charts. It’s pretty easy to go up the itunes chart, since they don’t sell a lot of records. For whatever it’s worth, he can top the itunes chart.

  15. NUMBER 5 OVERALL!!!

  16. Granted I have no idea how long it will last, but the songs are also individually charting on the iTunes pop charts. At last look, I think all five were there.

Good timing on Atlantic’s part. Put it out on the day when Idol is all over the news.

  17. Yes Brie, perfect timing! and his album will come out right after he is on Idol and his brother makes it thru Hollywood, right? I hope :-) but Michael has dropped off of fb,etc – that is surely a sign?

  18. Well, didn’t Hollywood week just start yesterday? So I think Michael would have had to have dropped off as of now. Doesn’t mean anything so far other than that he is in Hollywood.

I guess I don’t want to spend the approximately $100 it would cost me to get to one of his shows to buy a less than $10 EP. I just don’t see the return on my investment here, especially when I’ll shortly (if not immediately) be able to hear all the songs on YouTube. I’ve been out of work for over a year. It makes no sense to me.

  20. I got an email from Jason’s website, saying if I had pre-ordered the CD (which I have), I would automatically get the EP. I’m pretty sure I got an email confirming my pre-purchase of the entire CD, but it was a long time ago. I don’t know if I can find it now. Hopefully, they are just slow getting the d/l links for the EP out to everyone. Has anyone here got the EP that way?

  21. I got mine, but make sure you check your spam folder. I’ve read that some people had that problem.

  22. I bought it. He may not have the best voice, but there’s something just so pleasing about that boy’s singing. His ‘niceness”? His ‘sweetness’? I don’t know.

Now, why wasn’t Sweet Medicine burried? That song doesn’t have one good thing about it, it lacks a melody most of all.

I happen to like that song. I like them all.
Do you think I-Tunes will offer us a discount on the actual album after buying the EP?

  23. I like You Can Always come home the most. I actually like If I Were You more than I thought I would – considering I wasn’t too sure about it when I heard it on youtube at one of his concerts – but now I think it is my 2nd or 3rd favorite on the EP.
The acoustic LJFILA is SO much better than the band version – the other one was too sweet and sounded more frenzied and 70’s poppy. I like Love Uncompromised maybe a bit more than Sweet Medicine. I hope the EP and his future album do well for him.

  24. Yes, the email was in my spam folder. D’uh! Thanks brie200.

I’m just listening through for the first time, but so far I like everything. The title song is still my favorite, and I’ve been listening to it for almost a year. It was on Idol Wrap last year, he played it acoustic. It’s a beautiful song. You Can always Come Home is lovely too. Sad, and aching. Didn’t know Jason had that in him, but I really like it! If I Were You definitely has that happy go lucky, folksy charm Jason is known for. Congrats, Jason!

  25. I guess I don’t want to spend the approximately $100 it would cost me to get to one of his shows to buy a less than $10 EP.

Gingerly, most of the shows listed so far are in small venues with correspondingly low ticket prices. But if you can’t make it to a show, I’m sure that someone who is going would be very happy to buy you a copy and send it to you.

  26. How exciting is this? I love the album cover, but look forward to seeing his gorgeous smile in the future. I hope he will score a major hit with this so he’ll be invited to perform on Idol!

  27. I am enjoying all of the songs on the EP because you can feel Jason in everyone of them.
I remember being a little concerned when his “Let’s Just Fall In Love Again” single came out beause it was just a little too cutesy. But the acoustic version on the EP dials back cuteness factor and the song comes off so much more appealing to me. .
The “You Can Always Come Home Again” duet with Serena is just lovely. And I agree with some others here, it could easily crossover to country radio.

Grammie Kari – I agree. I would love to see him perform on idol this year !

  28. Grammie, I hope he is on Idol this year, he wasnt last year yet Brooke, Mj, etc were. I wanted to see Jason back so bad!
